Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using HopeVersity ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HopeVersity, Inc.
2. What HopeVersity Is
HopeVersity is The Vertical Series Education Platform — offering 100+ Schools of Life across streaming, study, TV, and tablet modes.
HopeVersity is an education platform. We are not a mental health provider, a financial advisor, a legal advisor, a licensed therapist, a medical provider, or a crisis service.
3. Who Can Use HopeVersity
You must be at least 13 years old to use HopeVersity. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform. HopeVersity is primarily focused on users in the United States, though we welcome learners worldwide.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Each account is for a single individual — sharing account access with others is not permitted.
5. The Reentry Vertical Commitment
HopeVersity Reentry content is and will remain free forever. We are committed to ensuring that education for those rebuilding their lives is never gated by cost. This commitment is foundational to our mission and will not change.
HopeVersity Reentry is informed by cognitive-behavioral principles and is being built in conversation with formerly incarcerated leaders, reentry counselors, and corrections education partners. HopeVersity Reentry is not formally certified to the Risk-Needs-Responsivity framework.
6. What You Can Do
As a HopeVersity user, you may:
- Access and view courses across all available Schools of Life
- Track your learning progress
- Earn certificates of completion
- Share your achievements responsibly on social media and professional networks
7. What You Cannot Do
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data from the Platform
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Circumvent any access controls, authentication mechanisms, or security features
8. Intellectual Property
All content on HopeVersity — including courses, videos, text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by HopeVersity, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal educational purposes only.
9. Content Accuracy and Educational Disclaimer
All content on HopeVersity is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. You should not rely on HopeVersity content as a substitute for professional advice from a qualified provider in the relevant field.

10. Pricing and Payment
HopeVersity offers a free tier of content. Premium features and courses may require payment. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. HopeVersity Reentry content will always be free. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOPEVERSITY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO HOPEVERSITY IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HopeVersity, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. HopeVersity reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, without prior notice.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of HopeVersity after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: The failure of HopeVersity to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and HopeVersity regarding your use of the Platform.
- Assignment: HopeVersity may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
